    Ingredients

Almond flour - You can easily make your own almond flour if you have a good food processor and blanched almonds or buy your favorite brand at the store.

Coconut flour - Coconut flour is perfect for making low carb bread and desserts. It balances the natural oiliness of the almond flour.

Sour cream - Adding sour cream is a great trick for baking as it adds moisture to bread, cakes, and desserts.

Egg - The egg helps to bind together the ingredients to form the biscuit dough.

Butter - You'll use butter in the dough and also on top for the garlic topping.

Baking powder - Helps to give a little rise to the biscuits to add fluffiness. Make sure to check your baking powder is within date so the biscuits rise.

Garlic powder - Used in the biscuits and as a topping as an easy way to add some garlic flavor.

Salt - Salt enhances the natural flavors of the cheese and other ingredients in the biscuits.

Shredded cheddar cheese - You can swap this out for any type of cheese that you like or that you have on hand.

    Variations

Add sausage - If you want to cook sausage and add it to these easy keto biscuits, do so! I do this in my sausage muffins .

Mix in parsley - Fresh parsley would taste great with these keto biscuits while giving them a hint of color.

Cheese - While I love the flavor of these easy keto cheddar biscuits because of the cheddar cheese, you could use Colby Jack, mozzarella, or anything else.

    Common Questions

Can I eat this as a breakfast sandwich?

Absolutely. Just fry up an egg, add some sausage and cheese, and you're good to go! This is also a great idea to meal prep to have some breakfast sandwiches in the freezer for later as well.

What are some other toppings that you can add to these biscuits?

Garlic and butter tend to be the most popular, but who says you can't change things up? If you want savory, putting a little bit of apple butter with the saltiness of the cheese sounds like quite the perfect pairing.

You can also add some cream cheese to the tops or just leave them plain. You can vary up the toppings by whatever you're eating with the biscuits.

(The kids think that adding honey on top is a good idea as well!)

How do I know when these keto cheese biscuits are done baking?

The tops of the biscuits and the bottom of the biscuits are going to turn golden brown. This is your clue that they're close to being done. You can also poke into the middle of one with a clean toothpick and pull it out to make sure that it doesn't have any dough on it.

Can I make this keto biscuits recipe ahead of time?

Yes, you can. You can easily make the dough and have it sitting in the fridge, ready to bake when you are. You can also bake up a batch of these biscuits and freeze them for later.

When you're ready to eat them, you just move them to the fridge and let them thaw. To reheat, they'll heat up easily and really quickly in the microwave so you can enjoy them nice and warm.

I made these for lunch to hold a pork patty. The flavor was good, but
mine were a bit dry. My husband said they were great, and he’s been
putting up with my Keto fails for a year. What a guy! 4 stars

I'm sorry you thought they were dry, Lynn. Have you checked your oven temperature? Try baking them a minute or two less next time.
